Hallow (Washington Times) |In what would amount to a slap in the face to a sitting Republican president and the party’s Senate and House leaders, national GOP officials, including the vice chairman of the Republican National Committee, are sponsoring a resolution opposing the resort to “socialist” means to save capitalism.

“We can’t be a party of small government, free markets and low taxes while supporting bailouts and nationalizing industries, which lead to big government, socialism and high taxes at the expense of individual liberty and freedoms,” said Solomon Yue, a cosponsor of a resolution that would put the RNC — the party’s national governing body <<<Read the Full Story>>>

    Well, it’s about time…

  2. LOL… they embrace socialism (as a wolf in sheep’s clothing) and then loose the Presidency, the House and the Senate before they realize that they should oppose socialism. talk is cheap.

Its a solemn thought that we have come this far. Seems like they are awakening to their awful situation with socialism ensconced in the nation. We that know the proper role of government and principals of prosperity must do our part to turn the tide.

Seriously … I know that this is an old story, but it was a tired story when it was written.

“It is now time for the RNC to assert itself in terms of ideas and political philosophy,” Mr. Pullen added. “If we don’t do it now, when will we?”

No, Mr. Pullen, it’s time for individuals to remove themselves from partisan, political, do-nothing organizations and take a principled stand. Oh, there is so much about that article that makes me just seeth that I really must leave before I write something I will surely regret later! ;-)

Oh, but I cannot, dang. This infernal “two party system” garbage is so difficult to debate against. If you are this religion or this race, then you will be for that party. What? How about being a prinicpled individual and taking action based on reason and conscious choice. Over 325 people voted FOR both the bank and auto industry bailouts despite their constituents’ belief that both were wrong. And now the RNC feels it is important to create a resolution. Too little too late.
